get on www.mapquest.com Put in your start and ending location. That should give you a rough estimate of the miles you need to travel. Then take the fuel mileage your vehicle gets, and divide the total number of miles you're going to travel (there and back) by the fuel mileage of your vehicle. Now determine how many miles per gallon your vehicle gets but if you don't know you can usually estimate 21 to 22 miles per gallon and be safe unless you have a pickup truck or SUV and then use 17 mpg. Divide the total miles by either the 22 or the 17 and you should have a pretty good estimate on how many. Unless you know for sure what you get and then don't take the high figure but reduce it by 3 mpg just to be safe and divide that into the total and remember that's a one way trip.
